THE PROBLEM

INDIVIDUALS WITH BIPOLAR II DISORDER EXPERIENCE intense shifts in mood, IMPULSIVE DECISION MAKING, maintaining routine, and maintaining social connections. This leads to difficulty gaining independence and being able to live alone.

PRIMARY RESEARCH

We reached out to several organizations and foundations focused on Bipolar Disorder to gather expert insights. Our interviews included the Executive Director of the International Bipolar Foundation (IBF) and a digital health specialist who contributed to Amazon’s mental health project. These discussions provided valuable perspectives on mental health resources and innovative support strategies.

SECONDARY RESEARCH

We conducted extensive research to understand the challenges individuals with Bipolar II face, focusing on symptoms, treatments, and diagnostic practices. Our study also examined barriers to independent living and factors that could impact comfort and security. This research aimed to provide insights for better support and a more comfortable, independent lifestyle.
