Precision in design, pride in purpose.
While serving at the Korea Military Academy, I looked for ways to contribute beyond my role as a public affairs specialist. Seeing an opportunity to enhance the student ID cards, I applied my UX and product design skills to create a more meaningful and functional design. I conducted research, and prototyping, and gathered direct cadet feedback to refine the design for improved usability and branding. After a 10-month development process, I presented the final design to top leadership and received approval for implementation. In February 2025, student IDs featuring my design were officially issued, reinforcing cadet pride and identity.
Based on this achievement, I applied user-centered research and thoughtful storytelling to develop the onboarding kit and school branding for freshmen. Cadets can build a strong sense of belonging from day one by integrating branding and product design. This project strengthened my desire to turn research and user insights into practical, meaningful design solutions. It confirmed my intention to incorporate research, aesthetics, and practicality into all design projects. Since then, I have continued to work to create a digital experience that seamlessly connects people and the environment.
