Seam hosted a three-day design challenge with SCADpro, inviting students to create innovative mini-apps that enhance social sharing experiences. As a Pinterest-like platform powered by user-created mini-apps, Seam encouraged participants to explore new ways for users to connect, share, and engage. Designers developed and submitted their concepts using Figma or their preferred tools, and the best designs were selected for implementation in the Seam app.

For this challenge, our team created “Weekly Entertainment,” a mini-app that gathers and shares users' weekly recaps of music, movies, and dining activities. Inspired by the prevalent practice of sharing favorite music on social media, this app allows users to create a weekly top list and provides images of their entertainment preferences. Weekly Entertainment creates deeper connections via shared experiences by encouraging friends to share and discover new recommendations.
